Pneumatic systems

Ultra has been at the forefront of the development of energy sources for cold gas pneumatic weapon ejection as more precise weapons are being launched from both manned and unmanned platforms.

In addition to the precise control and repeatability of the release phase, the introduction of cold gas pneumatic weapon ejection into UCAV’s supports

·	the low logistic footprint

·	low life cycle costs

·	autonomous operations of such platforms.

In conjunction with weapon carriage and release manufacturers, Ultra has developed two cold gas energy source options:

·	HiPPAG on-board compressor

High performance, compact compressors for the supply of dry air (cold gas) to power pneumatic ejection release units (ERU’s) by charging and re-charging of accumulator(s) that offer operational and logistic benefits to
the operator.

·	Cold Gas Cartridge

Storage and control of high pressure gas to the ejector release unit (ERU).
